Presentation

The Vimeiro Spa course is a nine-hole layout, located at Porto Novo, Vimeiro, and is part of the amenities offered to guests at Hotel Golf Mar.

Although designed by an unknown architect, the course is interesting and demands some shots of great accuracy, for example on hole number 2, a par 4 only 245 metros.  . From the second tee we have an almost complete view of the course.

The fairway has an out-of-bounds area on the left and the river Alcabrichel on the right, which makes any hook or slice a small disaster; a top or a skied shot are not desirable either, because beyond the tee there is a steep river bank.

Hole number 1 is a par 3 of 191 metres played to an elevated green that requires considerable carry from the tee. Only expert players can reach it from the tee. 

Overall the course is 4,781 metres long, with well maintained grass, offering very pleasant rounds.
